About the Conference

Reaching OUT 2011 LGBTQ National Conference is dedicated to raising awareness among professionals and the general public on topics that impact the LGBTQ community such as anti-violence, public health, and legal issues.

This conference is intended for professionals in health care, mental health, social services, community leaders, policy makers, law enforcement, attorneys, and those interested in educating and connecting to resources in the LGBTQ community.

Continuing Education Credit Information - Boards Approved: Batterers Intervention Program, Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling, Florida Board of Psychology, Florida Council of Licensed Midwifery, and Florida Office of School Psychology. A maximum of 19 continuing education credits available per person.

Who we are

Victim Response, Inc. is a private non for profit corporation which received tax exempt status under section 501(c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code on September 3, 2003. Victim Response, Inc. operates The Lodge, a certified domestic violence shelter in Miami-Dade County.

Victim Response, Inc.'s primary purpose is the provision of services both direct and indirect to victims of domestic violence, rape, sexual assault, and other victims of crime.

Services are provided regardless of race, sex, religion, age, disability, ethnicity, national origin, spoken language, or sexual orientation.
